Aglive is an innovative agritech that develops cutting
edge technology for livestock and horticulture producers.
Its ‘paddock to plate’ tracking authentication technology
allows complete ‘real time’ traceability of livestock and
produce for an industry that has relied on ‘pen and
paper’ for the past 200 years (give or take a few). As a
startup, Aglive were a clean slate for us to work our
magic on – from brand positioning and design, product
strategy, right through to a new website and app UX.

Insight
Despite the growing demand for knowledge from consumers there was still a data vacuum in the industry. Farmers know every inch of their farms, and every animal they raise—but this information is lost the minute you leave the farm gate. With its end-to-end technology Agile could solve this, but only it could quickly communicate its value to everyone in the food chain, from farmers to processors to retailers and exporters, to ensure buy in and use of the app.
Idea: Make farming a knowledge economy
The proposition ‘Strengthening the connection between farming and food’ emphasises the role that each person in the chain plays in increasing visibility and ensuring quality. The logo and custom icon suite build on this, with a series of
connected lines suggesting roadmaps and the concept of end-to-end traceability, while the colour palette draws from the Australian landscape.
Creating an online presence
We developed a new website with design and content to showcase the brand positioning and key messages.
Improved usability that for improved usage
With the app depending on famers being able to easily sign up and complete the forms in the field, we conducted a UX review of the signup process and the app flow, before applying the new visual identity, enabling the app to be as beautiful as it is usable.
