Pure Security faced a common challenge for businesses that merge. Recently formed from 4 individual businesses, each had a strong reputation in cybersecurity, they had an impressive client list of some of Australia’s largest and most familiar organistions. Yet, as the newly formed Pure Security, they came to us with little more than a name. They were looking for two things. A positioning that would establish the credibility of Pure Security as a complete cybersecurity partner and a fresh brand presence that would unite these teams as one.

Insight

Pure Security’s customers have done all the expected things in their approach to cybersecurity – firewalls, proxy servers and the like. But that’s no longer enough. Ingenious hackers are exploiting weaknesses, and the severity, complexity and seeming randomness of these attacks is draining. They need someone with the skills and problem-solving approach to match their opponents.

Idea: Open minds secure boundaries

Cyber security is as much a mental discipline as well a technical one. Pure Security bring a world-class team equipped with the knowledge and innate drive to find novel and unexpected solutions that others may miss. Our positioning open minds secure boundaries indicates that through consultants that keep their minds open to possibilities, Pure Security are better able to keep their clients safe.

A seriously fun brand

Despite the serious nature of their work, Pure Security were clear on the need to inject personality into their brand. “Our staff would not want to go and work in a bank – where’s the fun in that?” We embraced the brief with a brand that dispelled with the traditional locks and alerts, inspired more by the video games and hacking environments that attract many of their staff in the first place.

A bold site to build trust

Their new website is eye-catching and clearly communicates why Pure Security is different with use of short, punchy text for key messaging, visual cues to drive the user through the site, and a strong colour palette. While not corporate by any means, it’s professional and honest, instilling the trust and transparency that are integral to the brand.
